John A. Tinnirello

John A. Tinnirello,  Master Craftsman, entered into rest on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at home surrounded by his family and cherished friends, after a short battle with cancer.  He was 64 years old.

 

Born in July 5, 1947 in Kingston, PA, he was the son of Josephine (Domanski) Tinnirello and the late James G. Tinnirello (2006).  He formerly lived in Brooklyn and has been a Warwick resident for 28 years.

 

John served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 4662 in Warwick. 

 

He was a self-employed master craftsman and was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

 

A family statement reads:  “John loved his family and was so proud of his children and grandchildren.  He loved life, loved the ocean and fishing, and was always knee deep in his craft, always willing to help someone else.”

 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lucyann; his daughter, Jennifer Forestire and her husband Matthew; his son, Douglas Tinnirello and his wife Annie; his three grandchildren, the joys of his life:  Zane, Scarlett, and Violet.  John is also survived by his beloved mother, Josephine, his sisters, Theresa and Alicia, brother James, his nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 1st, at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by private cremation.
