Arthur H. Lockard

of Warwick (formerly of New York City) died on March 28, 2008 at St. Anthonys Hospital, Warwick.  He was 81 years old.

 

Born on December 30, 1926 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, he was the son of Charles and Elizabeth Hunt Lockard.

 

He was married to the late Betsy Eastment Lockard, who died in 2005.

 

Mr. Lockard served with the US Navy during World War II.  He was the Owner and President of Arthur Lockard, Inc., New York City and was involved in the preservation of Warwick.

 

He is survived by three children:  Elizabeth Lockard of Honolulu, Hawaii, James Lockard of London, England and Linda Lockard of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Diana Lockard of Claremont, CA.  He is also survived by four grandchildren:  Mia, Katie, Amelie and Kit.

 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 13th, at the Warwick Conference Center, Hoyt Road, Warwick.
