Born on February 2, 1921 in New York City, she was the daughter of Frederick Ascher and Alice Dorney.

She was married to the late Carl L. Omark.

A homemaker, she was an Administrative Assistant at Baruch College, City University of New York.  She was a member of the Epiphany RC Church in New York City.

She is survived by her five daughters:  Carol Chanler of Andover, MA, Dorothy Thayer of Warwick, NY, Jane Grant of Los Angeles, CA, Barbara Bella of Burbank, CA, and Victoria Keveny of Glendale, CA; also survived by eight grandchildren:  Melinda, Rain, Noel, Violette, Laughlin, Charlotte, Jess and Alexander; three great-grandchildren: Grant, Jack and Asher.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 22nd, from 11-11:30 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.  Interment will be at 11:30 am on Friday in Pinelawn National Cemetery, Pinelawn, LI.
