Vernon Adam Bonomi, of Warwick, died on October 15, 2012 at home. He was 80 years old.
Born on June 15, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Lino and Angelina (Bellotti) Bonomi.
He was married to Patricia (Powers) Bonomi.
Vernon served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was an Electrician with the NY Daily News in New York City and a member of St. Stephens RC Church. An avid hunter, he was a member of several hunting clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Warwick; his children: Gerard Bonomi of Warwick, Lt. Col. John Bonomi and his wife Dorothy of Milford, PA, Mary Bonomi of Warwick, Joan Bonomi of Brooklyn, and Louise Bonomi of Brooklyn; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Raymond in 2004.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 18th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass at 10:00 am on Friday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
