Viola A. Cramsey

, a long time area resident, died peacefully in the loving company of her family on August 22, 2007.  She was 74 years old.

 

Born on January 4, 1933 in Succasunna, NJ, Viola was the daughter of Gus Cramsey and Ethel Hoskin Cramsey.

 

She was married to the late Raymond De Witt.

 

Ms. Cramsey was a Nurses Aide at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital in Warwick and a member of the Golden Age Senior Club.

 

She is survived by her sons: Joseph Buzzell and his wife Maryanne of Deposit, and Bill Predmore and his wife Fran of Pine Island; her daughters: Gail Mann and her husband Keith of Warwick, and Diana Bogart of Warwick;  two step-daughters: Debbie De Freese and her husband Padie of Oakland, NJ, and Nora Lee Reynolds of Oakland, NJ; step-sons: Willie De Witt of Oakland, NJ, and  Howard M. De Witt of Upper Greenwood Lake, NJ; a brother, Ed Cramsey of the state of Florida; two sisters: Janet Jennings of Flanders, NJ and Gail Boyler of Wharton, NJ; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren;  many nieces and nephews.  Her former son-in-law, Bernie Bogart, of Warwick, followed her in death on August 23, 2007.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 25th, from 2-4 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.   Funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm.   

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
