Gertrude L. Migel, Born September 5, 1917 in Campbell Hall, NY daughter of Dr. Roy L
Lippincott and Mae Ball Lippincott, died April 19 at Glen Arden, Goshen, NY.
She was married to Richard H. Migel, who predeceased her, and lived in Monroe, NY
for her entire married life. She is survived by her children; Elisa Richards and
husband Robert of Cottonwood, AZ, Susanna Hull of Warwick, NY R. Stephen Migel
and wife Mary Alice of Franklin Lakes, NJ and Christopher J. Migel and wife Cass of
West Redding, CT. She had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She
has one surviving brother, Roy L. Lippincott, of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Known as Gay, she enjoyed the outdoors, nature and all that grew and lived around
her. Actively engaged in the sporting life, Gay grew up fishing, raising dogs and was
known for her ability to pick roses from her bedroom window using a .22 rifle. She
was very involved in gardening and flower arranging, being an active member of the
Orange and Dutchess Garden Club for sixty-five years. With a concern for others, she
was also involved with Inspire in Goshen when it was first organized.
There will be a private celebration at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers.
