
Joseph Matthew Kosior, Jr., a 55 year resident of Warwick, passed away on December 6, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 77 years old.
Born on January 20, 1938 in Goshen, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph Matthew Kosior, Sr. and Catherine Frances Rutka Kosior.
He was married to Nancy (Carr) Kosior with whom he recently celebrated 51 years of marriage on December 5.
Joseph served with the US Army and was a retired Truck Driver with Hoffmann- LaRoche in Tuxedo, NY. He then worked for ten years with Leo Kaytes Ford in Warwick making deliveries. He was a past Captain of the Fire Police in Warwick.
A family statement reads: “Joseph had a heart of gold, was a wonderful husband, dad and poppy. He was the greatest supporter his children could ever have in everything they chose to do.”
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy of Warwick; his daughters: Nancyjo Langlitz and her husband Hipe of Sparrowbush, Cathy Schweizer and her husband Tom of Warwick, and Emily Sarnoski and her husband Joe of Westtown; his grandchildren, Holly Schweizer and Joseph Schweizer. He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Margaret Mary.
Memorial visitation will be on Thursday, December 10th, from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.
