
William Russell, Sr., of Warwick, passed away on April 6, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 86 years old.
Born on June 24, 1926 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Reno and Daisy (Baker) Russell.
He was married to Norma (De Groat) Russell.
William served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was retired as a Bus Driver with the New Jersey Transit system.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, of Warwick; his children: Sharon Veldran and her husband Robert of Monroe, William Russell, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Virginia Beach, VA, George Russell of Garnerville, NY, Scott Russell of Warwick, and Mitchell Russell of Warwick; nine grandchildren: Lori, Katie, Brad, Sarah, Alexis, Lindsey, Paige, Justin and McKenzie; and three great-grandchildren: Addison, Declan, and Mary.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 9th, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, with Navy military honors.
