of Warwick, NY (formerly of Meriden, CT) passed away on August 19, 2010 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick.  She was 91 years old.

She was born on April 11, 1919 in Meriden, CT, to Paul F. and August Fiehler Baudner.  She was the loving wife for 52 years of the late Howard Henry Brechlin, who passed away in 1999.

She was formerly an Elementary School Teacher with the Meriden Board of Education, was a volunteer with the Bloodmobile, a member of the Meriden Seniors “Young at Heart”, and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband as members of the Traveler’s Insurance Retirees Travel Group.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Meriden, CT.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Schervier Pavilion for their loving and excellent care for Ella.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hoverman and her husband Dr. Stephen K. Hoverman, of Warwick; her grandchildren:  David Hoverman and his wife Abigail Smith of Berkeley, CA; Carrie Hoverman Colla and her husband Geoffrey of Hanover, NH, Michael Hoverman and his wife Julia Nosov-Hoverman of New York City; and Matthew Hoverman of New York City; three great-grandchildren:  Sarah Jane and Anna Hoverman and Blake Colla; a sister-in-law, Fran Rowe; niece, Alice Baudner; nephew, Paul Baudner.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Jane Brechlin Olesin and her husband Steve in 2006 and a brother, Paul Baudner in 1963.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY.   Funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 520 Paddock Ave., Meriden, CT, followed by interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Meriden, CT.
