John Graf

John Graf, of Warwick (formerly of Greenwood Lake) passed away on May 25, 2012 at Schervier Pavilion.  He was 89 years old.

The son of the late John Graf and Maria Schlund Graf, he was born on November 26, 1922 in Duirwangen, Germany and he came to the United States in 1954.

John was a Foreman with Kliegel Brothers Stage Lighting in New York City prior to retiring, and was a member of the Electrical Union #3 in New York City.  A member of the German American Club in Middletown, he loved gardening and was an avid gardener.  He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

John was greatly loved and taught his family many wonderful things about life.  He will be greatly missed.

Preceded in death by his wife, Inga in 1973, he is survived by a sister, Auguste Areizaga of Warwick; a brother, Anton Graf of Woodside, NY; nieces:  Susan Graf, Maria Langert, Martha Vogt and Monika Goff; nephews:  Michael Areizaga, John Graf and Tony Graf.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Anetta Huch and a brother, Karl Graf.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, June 1st, at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment of cremated remains in Warwick Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in John’s memory may be sent to Schervier Pavilion, 22 Van Duzer Place, Warwick, NY 10990
