of Suffern, NY, passed away on November 8, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 78 years old.
Born on September 20, 1931 in Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kami. She came to the United States in 1956.
She was married to the late Lewis Namet.
Mrs. Namet worked with Minolta, Ramsey, NJ and was a part-time gift wrapper with Macy’s.
A family statement reads: "Her selfless nature was evident in all that she did, and her happiness came from her ability to take care of her family and friends."
She is survived by her two daughters: Maria R. Adams and her husband Walter of Yarnell, AZ and Elizabeth K. Gevers of Warwick; three grandchildren: Lewis J. Nameth and his wife Wendi of Temecula, CA, Ivy M. Smith of Warwick, and Scott Gevers of Warwick; also, additional family members in Hungary. She was predeceased by a son, Lewis.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick, followed by interment in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
