Grace Evelyn Varick, of Warwick, NY (formerly of Haledon, NJ) passed away on
April 29, 2013 in Nyack Hospital. She was 86 years old.
Born on January 11, 1927 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Ethel (Holla) Olrick.
She was the loving wife of Lawrence Varick for 61 years.
Grace was an LPN at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon, NJ before retirement. She was a member of the Warwick United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence of Warwick; her children: her loving daughter Susan Kuiken and her husband Bill of Warwick, her son Richard Varick and his fiancée Holly Dare of Littleton, NC, and her son David Varick and his wife Vallerie of Bloomingdale, NJ; her grandchildren: Steven Kuiken and wife Jessica of Sherman Oaks, CA, Kelly Varick of Bloomingdale, NJ and Ryan Varick of Bloomingdale, NJ; and a brother, Chris Olrick of Lake Mohawk, NJ. She was predeceased by a sister, Martha Buikema.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2nd, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday at Warwick United Methodist Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
