Liesel Ruf

of Morristown and formerly of Warwick, passed away on December 2, 2010 at Morris Hill Center, Morristown, NJ.  She was 88 years old.

 

Born on April 4 1922 in Pirmasens, Germany coming to the United States in 1954 and was predeceased by her husband Erwin A. Ruf in 2002

 

Mrs. Ruf was a caterer and the owner of Ruf’s General Store in Edenville, NY and formerly a Beautician for 30 years for Modern Beauty Salon in Ridgewood Queens.  She attended Zion Lutheran Church in Long Valley, NJ and was a member of the Eastern Star.

 

She is survived by her sons Edward J. Ruf of Flanders, NJ and Gunther H. Pontes of Newberry, SC and two grandchildren Skyler J. Ruf and Victoria Pontes

 

Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, from 10:30-11:30 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
