Born on August 31, 1928 in Warwick, he was the son of Joseph and Josephine Campagna Mondello.
He was the husband of Pasqualina (Pauline) Mondello for over 50 years.
Mr. Mondello was the retired Owner of the former Mondello’s Deli in Warwick. He worked 17 years with Lehigh & Hudson Railroad, was a member and an usher for St. Stephen’s RC Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Knight. He was a member for more than 50 years with the Raymond Hose Fire Dept in Warwick.
A family statement read: “Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.”
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; his daughters: Marie Nick of Warwick and Sharlene Bovich and her husband Steven of Campbell Hall; one granddaughter, Michelle Nick, of Warwick; two nephews and several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Mondello.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 5th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. In observance of Holy Week, the Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Monday, April 9th at St. Stephens RC Church. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Warwick Ambulance Corps or the Raymond Hose Fire Department.
