of Warwick (formerly of Thornhurst, PA, Danbury, CT and Yonkers, NY) passed away on October 11, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.  She was 79 years old.

Born on December 9, 1929 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Colello Figlicconi.

Before retiring in 1990, Ellen was a Supervisor with the NYS Department of Transportation in Pelham.  She was a member of St. Barnabas Church, Bronx.

A family statement reads:  “Ellen was a generous woman and a devoted mother, who loved holidays and cooking for her family.  She was a very independent woman and although she was always from the Bronx, she loved her home in Thornhurst, PA, where she had retired in 1990.”

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Wilcha and her husband George of Warwick; a son, Peter Frabizzio of Bethel, CT; a grandson, Peter Frabizzio; a granddaughter, Francesca Frabizzio; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church.  Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery
