Michael D. McGill of Warwick, NY, passed away peacefully into the arms of our merciful God surrounded by his loving family on December 15, 2018. He was 59 years old.
Michael was a loving husband to his wife, Theresa “Terri” (Christman) McGill and a devoted father to their children; Lauren Willis and her husband Simon of England, Sgt. James McGill, Daniel McGill, Sean McGill, Bridget McGill and his niece Rebecca McGill, all of Warwick, NY. He is also survived by his brother Vincent McGill and wife Kathleen and his sister Mary Katherine Connelly and husband Joseph, both of Lords Valley, Pa.; sister-in-law Laura McGill; and predeceased by his younger brother Daniel McGill of Warwick, NY. Michael is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and group of lifelong friends too numerous to mention.
After retiring as a NYPD Detective (1997), Mike was a sales rep for SDC Corporation. He was a member of St. Stephen’s Parish in Warwick, NY, the Knights of Columbus 4952 and a member of the “Tuesday Morning Breakfast Club at Tuscan Café.” Michael enjoyed good food, drink, music and most especially good company.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19 and Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. There will be a Funeral Mass on Friday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY.
