Frank M. Gaudiello, of Greenwood Lake, 65, entered into eternal rest on May 14, 2011 at Westchester Medical Center.
Born on January 21, 1946 in Long Island City, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Viola (Pastore) Gaudiello.
He was married to Rosalie (Casaletto) Gaudiello.
Mr. Gaudiello served with the US Army during the Viet Nam war and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a proud retired member of the Mounted Police with the New York City Police Department, which fulfilled his dream of always wanting to be a cowboy.
A family statement reads: " He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be remembered for many things, especially his laugh. He loved horses and loved helping children. He did so with his beloved horse, Zeus, fund raising for St. Jude and other charitable children's organizations."
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie of Greenwood Lake; his daughter, Melissa Giardina and her husband Salvatore of Greenwood Lake; two sons: Eric Gaudiello and his fiance Jessica O'Donovan of Greenwood Lake, and Michael Gaudiello and his wife Kerry of Albany; loving poppy of four grandchildren: Adrianna, Salvatore, Madison and Riley; his brothers: Angelo Gaudiello and Thomas Gaudiello; his sisters: Linda Reilly and Frances Lauri; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him very much. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie Thielo.
Memorial visitation will be on Friday, May 20th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. A Memorial Mass of Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, Greenwood Lake, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, with military honors.
