Mary M. O’Connor of Warwick, NY (formerly of New York, NY) passed away at Schervier Pavilion, on October 17, 2018. She was 95 years old.
Born to parents Thomas and Margaret Halloran O’Connor on May 1, 1923 in New York City.
Mary earned a Masters degree in music and philosophy. Before retiring, she worked as a Corporate Executive Secretary for Cue and New York Magazines.
Mary is survived by her nieces, Mary (Paul Kearney) of Pine Island, NY and Patricia (John Gallagher) of Wantagh, NY; nephew, Thomas O’Connor of Beekman, NY; and a sister-in-law, Patricia O’Connor of Warwick, NY. She was predeceased by her parents; her twin sister Margaret Mary O’Connor; brother, Thomas M. O’Connor and a nephew, Brian J. O’Connor.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 22 from 9-9:30 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick. Interment will be on Tuesday, October 23 at 11:15 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd., Woodside, NY.
