of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on January 14, 2009. A longtime Warwick resident, Charlie moved to Warwick in 1969 from North Arlington, NJ. He was 80 years old.
Born on August 22, 1928 in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late Archibald Barnes and Annie Johnson Barnes.
He was married to Margaret Cunningham (nee Dinnett) Barnes.
Mr. Barnes retired in 1990 as a Painter and Paper Hanger with the Painters and Allied Trades Union, Local 711, Paterson, New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Warwick; four daughters: Janet Bass and her husband Geoffrey of Poughkeepsie, NY, Laurie Barnes of Warwick, Phyllis Barnes of Vernon, NJ, and Karen Blake and her husband Alan of Stockholm, NJ; nine grandchildren: Adam Kaval, Geoffrey, Alex and Graham Bass, Charlie and Lyndsey Fernandes, Kyle, Cameron and Fiona Blake; two sisters: Jean Baillie of Bradenton, FL and Elizabeth Smith of West Milford, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Warwick Reformed Church,
