of Warwick (formerly of NYC and Long Island) passed away on February 1, 2011 at Valley View Nursing Facility.  She was 96 years old.

Born on June 15, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Elisabeth (Hardardt) Krug.

She was married to the late George Reynolds, Jr. (1983) for 44 years.

Millie was a caring and generous mother, wife and friend.  She was also an avid reader, crossword puzzler and amateur poet.  The following is a poem written by Millie many years ago entitled “Thoughts of the Day”- “As I tread softly thru life, and see the days turn into months, then years; See some happiness, some sadness, and sometimes I am brought to tears;  But all in all, I wouldn’t change it, even if I could, ‘Cause the alternative to living doesn’t sound too good.  So I shall plunder on day by day, taking everything in stride, and hope that when my time has come, I can say I did my best, I really tried.”   Mission accomplished, Millie.  Rest in peace.

She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Manolopoulos and her husband George of Smithtown, NY, and Diane Ernst and her husband Willi of Warwick, NY; her grandchildren:  Christine O’Brien and her husband Douglas of Akron, PA,  Steven Manolopoulos of St. Louis, MO, and Christopher Ernst of Brooklyn, NY, and  two

great-grandchildren,  Hailey and Douglas O’Brien.  She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Vito Brunza and a sister, Elsie Drugan.

The family is grateful to the wonderful staff at Valley View for the great care they provided over the past several years.  Thank you all!
