William F. Hoogstra, Sr. of Middletown, NY passed away on April 13, 2021 at Highland Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 95 years old.

Born on December 9, 1925 in Haledon, NJ, he was the son of John and Helen (nee Clever) Hoogstra.

William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  He then worked for the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ on the assembly line.

William and his wife attended the Warwick Reformed Church. William was a member of the American Legion, Post # 214, Warwick.

William is survived by his son, William F. Hoogstra, Jr. and his wife Vera of Middletown, NY; daughter, Susan Toner and her husband Daniel of Saratoga Springs, NY; grandchildren: Daniel Hoogstra, Rebecca Lugo and her husband Tony; and Alyssa Levo Rick; great-grandchildren: Kasia, Nina, Romeo, Amelia and Anthony; brother, Robert Hoogstra and his wife Anita; and sister, Elaine Freitag.  He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude, and brother, John Hoogstra.
