On July 28th, 2020 God called Carla A. Harris home to heaven where her pain and suffering no longer exist. She passed away quietly in her sleep with her family by her side. She was 64 years old.
Carla was born on March 17th, 1956 in New York City, but moved to Warwick at the age of two. She was the daughter of the late James R. Paige and Frances “Ann” Paige of Warwick. She was a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. Carla began her career in the banking industry at the age of 18. She worked at the former Warwick Savings Bank, Provident Bank, and most recently, Sterling National Bank for over 30 years. Carla was a lifelong and faithful member of the Union AME Church of Warwick where she was a member of the choir and various other ministries. She was known for her small stature, but powerful voice!
Carla was married to the love of her life, the late Randy Harris for 25 years before his passing in 2011 Together, they had two children James and Paige. Carla is survived by her son James Harris, and his significant other, Anna Karmiol; her daughter, Paige Harris; her sister, Patricia Davis; her beloved granddaughter, Savannah Harris; Matthew Karmiol, who was like a second son to her; and her four goddaughters whom she and Randy raised as their own; and many close friends and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Randy, and sister, Michele Paige.

The family will receive friends and family for a viewing on Monday, August 3rd from 9:00am to 11:00am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. A private funeral service will follow. Interment will be at Warwick cemetery. A repass will be held after the interment at Warwick Town Park. 166 Union Corners Road, Warwick, New York. All are welcome, masks are required.
