of Warwick, passed away on October 5, 2010 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. He was 99 years old.
Born on June 15, 1911 in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ella (Card) Hann.
He was married to the late Anna (Schilling) Hann (1965) and was the longtime companion of the late Ines Morris (1999).
A former Farmer, he was active in the Civilian Conservation Corp. He was Postmaster with the New Milford Post Office for 17 years, worked for Borden’s Creamery in New Milford, and was a member of the New Milford United Methodist Church.
He is survived by two sons: Terry Hann of East Brunswick, NJ and James R. Hann of Levenworth, Kansas; three grandchildren: Kristopher, Karen, and Kristina; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Barry, of Warwick. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Decker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 7th from 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
