Ezio Luca Bonadies of Greenwood Lake, NY, was taken into the arms of angels on August 23, 2020 at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
He touched the lives of so many; our beloved, shining, joyous boy. The memory of his infectious smile and golden curls leaves us smiling through our tears. He loved nature, playing with his favorite characters, and chasing bubbles with his dog. He was utter joy personified. During his short time on this earth he faced challenges that no child should with courage and strength. He passed at only 3 ½ years old.
Cherished by his parents Michael Velez and Stephanie Jansson and missed by his playmates and constant companions, Eggo (dog) and Tigger (cat). Sorrowfully missed by all who knew him but especially maternal grandparents: Christine and David Jansson of Vernon, NJ; paternal grandparents, Michael and Franchette Bonadies of Greenwood Lake, NY; his many aunts and uncles: Brian and Rebecca Tan of Nutley, NJ; Paul and Diane Jansson of Bloomingdale, NJ; Mike and Grace Bosco of Somerset, NJ, Matthew Jansson of Vernon, NJ; and Kayla Bonadies and Jazmyne Bonadies of Greenwood Lake, NY. He will also be deeply missed by his many cousins: Sara Tan, Katie Tan, Noah Tan, Abigail Tan, Eve Tan, Elijah Tan, Thomas Bosco, Charlie Bosco, Liliana Jansson, and Clara Jansson. Ezio joins his loving great-grandfather, Luca Bonadies, who passed just 2 weeks ago.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. At the request of the family, cremation will be held privately.
In lieu of cut flowers, plants may be sent to Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY. They will be planted in Ezio’s memory out in the yard where he played.
