of Monroe (formerly of Bronx, NY), died on April 6, 2008 at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood.  He was 54 years old. 

Born on November 1, 1953 in the Dominican Republic, but raised in New York City. He was the son of Maria Castro Nunez and the late Hugo Nunez.

He was the husband of Diliana (nee Villamar) Nunez.

Mr. Nunez worked as a Supervisor of Mailing Distribution Services with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, Montville, New Jersey for 19 years.  He was also Dojo Cho of Fudoshin Dojo in Rockland County.  He was also an avid scuba diver and a certified instructor.  He was a member of Warwick Assembly of God, Warwick NY.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Diliana of Monroe; a 15 year old daughter, Nikki Nunez of Monroe and his mother, Maria Castro of Bronx, NY.

Frank will be remembered for having a true warrior spirit that stood the test of time. He was never one to give up and showed that warrior spirit even while on his sick bed – he fought till the end. He was a loving, encouraging, affectionate, inspirational father as evident by his daughter’s last words to him “You are my super-hero.  He was a romantic, caring and loving husband to his wife and she will remember him for always standing – the sign of a true man one who may fall but always gets up. I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. Psalm 118: 13

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 10^th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  The family will also received friends on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at  Warwick Assembly of God, at the corner of Second and South Street, Warwick NY, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery.
