Ronny Dougherty, a tractor-trailer driver for a local chemical company, recently passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the age of 50 due to illness.
Ronny was born in New Jersey but grew up to call Warwick, NY, home. He was a 1976 graduate of Warwick Valley High School where he excelled in the sports of swimming and football. In 1977 he joined the US Army serving in Germany for three years active and three years reserve duty. He met his loving and devoted wife, Debra, 21 years ago and since then began a family.
He is survived by: his wife Debra, daughters, Lisa and Corrinth, son, Christopher of Huguenot; mother, Raea Dougherty, brother, Russell Dougherty his wife Dolores and son Kevin of Warwick, sister Raea Kober her husband Sean, her stepchildren John and Kelsey Kober of Pine Bush, and niece Cassandra and her husband Joseph Rizzo of Matamoras, PA. He was predeceased by son, Aaron and a brother, Donald Dougherty.
His gentle heart, shining eyes and Cheshire grin will be missed by all.

Orange Regional Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care for Ronald over the last several weeks.
Friends may call at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick on Wednesday, November 28 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 29, at 10:00am at the funeral home Father Kevin Gallagher will be officiating. A military burial will follow at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
