
a 44 year resident of Warwick, succumbed to a long battle with numerous illnesses, on January 13, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was 86 years old.
Born on April 18, 1924 in The Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Emidio and Lena Felicione.
He was married to Roseanna (De Santis) Felicione.
A World War II Army veteran, he served with the 70th Division and was a member of VFW Post 4662 in Warwick and the American Legion Post #214 in Warwick. He was a Estimator with Con Edison in Westchester for 41 years, was past Commander of the Con Edison American Legion Post and a former president of the Westchester
Con Edison Retirees Club. John was a member of the Warwick Seniors and a parishioner of St. Stephens RC Church. He was an avid Yankee, Giants and Rangers fan.
A family statement reads: “John (Chief) was proud of his military service, the community in which he lived, and his love for his wife, his children and his grandchildren was immeasurable.”
He is survived by his wife, Roseanna Felicione of Warwick; his daughter, Deborah Schradin and her husband Anthony of Monroe; his daughter, Dianne Kenny and her husband Steven of Harriman; his grandsons, James and Daniel Kenny; his granddaughter, Nicole Schradin; his brother, Pat Felicione of Flushing; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Vincent, Ralph and Robert Felicione.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 16th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.
