Brian Carlin Gillen of Warwick, NY passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2022. He was 43 years old.
Born on January 18, 1978 in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of Brian J. and Mary Pat (nee Walsh) Gillen.
Brian worked for the Iron Workers Union Local 40 in New York City and additionally worked for a number of small construction companies.
Brian was an avid Jets and Rangers fan, but he loved all sports. He loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews and his dogs.
Brian is survived by his parents, Brian J. and Mary Pat; siblings: Sean Gillen and his wife Jennifer, Shannon MacClugage and her husband, Travis, Brendan and his wife Patricia and Timothy all of Warwick; and many nieces and nephews as well as his large extended family.
Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990. All are invited to attend the in-person Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
