a long time area resident, died peacefully with family members by her side on November 14, 2006 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick.  She was 78 years old.

Born on August 8, 1928 in Warwick, NY, she was the daughter of Woodrow and Ethel Doty.

She was married to the late Kenneth Daubert.

Bernice was a retired Special Education Aide with BOCES of Goshen.  A family statement read “Bernice faced her battle with lymphoma the same way she lived her life – with courage, strength and dignity.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.”

She is survived by two daughters:  Sheila Sell of St. Louis, MO and Corinne Kettle of Bedford, TX; a son, Kenneth and his wife Cathy of Mt Hope, NY; five grandchildren – her pride and joy – Christine Santonil and her husband Daryl, Justin Kettle and his wife Angela, Ryan Kettle, Heather and Christopher Daubert; two great-grandchildren: Britley and Justin Oliver Kettle; her sister, Catherine Aurelia Rudy.  Bernice was predeceased by two sisters, Laura Daubert and Lena Sherman, and two brothers, Marcus and Woodrow Doty.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Warwick Cemetery.
