Rita M. Birish, of Campbell Hall, (formerly a resident of Warwick), passed away onNovember 29, 2014. She was 83 years old.
Born on April 23, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herman Lieneck and Agnes Hyland Lieneck.
She was married to the late George James Birish (2010).
Rita formerly worked for the Citizens National Bank in Hohokus, NJ, and she was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick. She enjoyed playing the organ and attended the 1956 Kentucky Derby and saw Needles win.
She is survived by her son, Chester G. Birish, of Goshen; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Herman C. Lieneck (2005) and a sister, Jeanne Peterson (1981).
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 30th, from 6:--9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
