
Eugene P. Crinigan of Warwick, NY passed away after a long illness on December 23, 2020.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 17, 1947, he was the son of Mildred (Olker) and Eugene Crinigan. He graduated from Irasmus High School and Brooklyn College. He was a proud Brooklynite. He and his wife, Maureen moved to Warwick in 1984 and never looked back.
Gene’s career as a credit analyst spanned over various NYC Credit Factors until 2002. After leaving his NYC worklife, he worked part-time for Mt. Alverno and Inspire in the accounting departments.
Gene was a 3rd degree member of Council 1073 Brooklyn, NY Knights of Columbus. He was also a 4th degree black belt and made Master Instructor in the Korean Martial Arts of Taekwondo in June of 2009 after training many fun years with Grand Master Edmund Ciarfella and Master Teresa Ciarfella at the United Martial Arts Center in Warwick. He loved to dine out at the local Warwick restaurants and meet up with friends at many other sites around Orange County.
Gene is survived by his wife, Maureen M. Crinigan (nee Ferrar); sisters, Mildred and her husband Richard Halstead and Lynne and her husband Gary Halstead; nephew Sean and his wife Bridget Halstead; also many dear friends, the children of friends and many of his wife’s family members. He was predeceased by his loving sister Patricia Crinigan and his mother Mildred Olker Crinigan.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Anthony Hospital Emergency Room, ICU and 1st floor nursing and case management for their thoughtful care and support.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990.
