Mary E. Hayes of Warwick NY passed away on June 29, 2022 at Valley View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Goshen, NY. She was 83 years old.
Born in Rosscommon, Ireland on July 22, 1938, she was the daughter of James and Mary Kate (O’Gara) Kelly.
A family statement reads, “Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved having her family around, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was a house full, but it was a house full of love. She will be missed at all of our family gatherings and holidays especially.”
Mary is survived by her four sons and their spouses: Kevin and his wife Geraldine of Florida, NY, Brendan and his wife Sylvia of Greenwood Lake, NY, James, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Queens, NY, and John and his wife Tara of Floral Park, NY; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and beloved husband, James.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 7th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8th at St. Stephen the First Martyr Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick followed by interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
