of Warwick, died on April 1, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Goshen. He was 83 years old.
Born on February 11, 1925 in Fulton, New York, he was the son of Rosario and Rose (Grillo) Cassanite.
He was the husband of Theresa (Folino) Cassanite for 60 years.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of and past commander of VFW Post #4662, Warwick. He was a Carpenter with Local Union #19 in Rock Tavern, NY, was a member of Goodwill Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Warwick, past Chief of the Warwick Fire Department, past president of District Six Chiefs Association, member of Orange County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, and a member of the Orange County Fire Chiefs Association.
He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa of Warwick; a son, Frank, Jr. and his wife Donna of Warwick; a daughter, Connie Kaden and her husband Bob of Milford, PA; five grandchildren: Melissa, Keith, Heidi, Stacy and Lindsay; three great-grandchildren: Lilly, Aidan and Caitlyn; three sisters: Gertrude Castenaro of New Windsor, NY, Verna Bastiano of CT and Marie Leo of NH; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 3, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Friday at St. Stephens RC Church. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
