Friendship
Maureen and I shared a friendship for more than 70 years; going through those years of good and not so good. We grew up in Maspeth, NY in Queens together. In the late 50’s her parents bought a cabin in Warwick and I enjoyed weekends with them along with the boy scouts from Queens that also camped on the property. Those years and moments with Maureen were the happiest of my life. We were always there for each other; listening to support and love each other. Maureen and I even got married just 1 week apart from each other!
Maureen was always telling me how very proud she was of her three children and her grandchildren. She loved them fiercely. Their support helped her get through her loss of her husband, Bruce.
My heart bleeds as I remember our cherished past and memories and she will live on in my heart for as long as I am living. I thank God for giving me a best friend like Maureen and for allowing me to have 70+ years with someone as beautiful inside and out as she was.
