Memories of Alice
As our neighbor for almost 20 years Alice was always there with a smile. She would always ask how we were doing and always stop to say hi. She would walk around the block for her daily walks and I always waved and thought there goes that high spirited Alice our strong willed neighbor. No matter her age, she always had spunk. She would often tell jokes and was always a pleasure to chat with. I always admired her for how she was able to overcome adversity and keep on smiling no matter what challenges she had to face. She is probably one of the strongest women I've ever had the pleasure to know.
If the world could use her as a example of how to live ones life, we would be a happier community and a happier world all around. I can only say she was kind, amazing, strong, and someone that anyone would be proud do know. She kept such a positive outlook on life and kept laughing while keeping others laughing which was one of her amazing gifts. I felt very close to Alice and would sometimes stop by just to chat and see how she was doing. She always greeted me with such a welcoming attitude. My mother is a similar type and similar age so I guess I connected to her in a very caring manner similar to how I feel about my mom at the age of 91. I can't say enough about how wonderful I believe Alice was. She was simply a barrel of goodness and one we should all use as an example on how to live our life to the fullest extent!!! A truly great human being!! We are proud to have known her and been touched by her presence. She will always be thought of as a great woman in our mind and hearts. We will never forget her!
