I agree. I jumped on the hi-viz bagnawdon not long after I started riding. I am the rarest of birds, a hi-viz wearer on a Harley-Davidson. I have two hi-viz yellow jackets in a mesh textile material. The trade off in buying leather is that it's more protective in a fall, but you lose the visibility. I counter this by wearing a white helmet, which according to studies I've read, is the optimum in visibility. I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course to get my license. In addition to riding skills, they emphasize riding strategies that proactively reduce your chances of a collision.
