Lucille L. Conklin

Lucille L. Conklin a longtime resident of Warwick, NY  passed away on September 3, 2022. She was 92 years old.

Born in Greenwood Lake, NY August 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (nee Scarpetta) Earles

Lucille was a parishioner of St. Stephen Church in Warwick, NY and a member of the Catholic Daughters.  She was a member of the Warwick VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a former President holding many other positions over the years.  Lucille was a very hardworking individual of strong character and worked as a bus driver for the Warwick Valley Central School district for many years as well as a caregiver to those needing home care in the community. She gave of her time to help with the Backpack Snack Attack program, helping to feed school children.

Lucille is survived by her son Robert Conklin and his wife Milena of Pine Bush, her daughter Carol Cossentino (her late son in law Tony) and Carol’s companion Bruce Eurich of Warwick, NY.  Seven grandchildren include grandson Robert Conklin III, granddaughter Jamie Bird, grandsons Timothy and Michael Conklin; grandsons Anthony and Vincent Cossentino and granddaughter Jill Cossentino.  She is also survived by her ten great-grandchildren Brittney, Jessica, Courtney, Tyler, Shannon, Austin, Kayden, Vincent, Alyssa and Brendon.  As well as two great-great Grandchildren Logan and Declin. Brother-in -law William Wickham and nieces  Judy and Brenda.  Lucille was predeceased by her husband Robert Conklin Sr(1974) and her daughter Helen; son David. Brothers Henry and Gerald Earles;  Sisters Antoinette Custard -Tetz and Justina Wickham

As per her wishes Lucille will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held at the Warwick Cemetery 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 9, 2022.  Please meet at the Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home 17 Oakland Ave. Warwick at 12:45 p.m. to go with the family to the cemetery.

I am 11 and lucille was my great grandmother not by blood but in my book it was blood my mom is dating her grandson Anthony Cossentino. She will forever be in my heart and I miss her so much we all love and miss you gram.

Just want to send my condolences to Carol and Bob and the rest of the extended family. She was ALWAYS there with a smile and say hello to anybody she knew. Carol, thanks for babysitting us as kids. Will always remember that!
