Barbara A. Nesi

3/30/2022

Barbara A. Nesi of Warwick, NY passed away peacefully at her home on March 30, 2022. She was 84 years young.

Born and raised in Queens, NY on January 9, 1938, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marian (nee Grajkowski) Klesch.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters: Maryann Wightman and her husband John of Warwick, NY, Catherine P. Larsen of Bradley Beach, NJ, and Joan Bromm of Clifton, NJ; five grandchildren: Erin and Collin DeForge, Mitchell, Thomas, and Lucas Wightman; and beloved nieces: Susan Vogel, Mary Corrado, and Joanne Bach and their families. She was predeceased by two sisters, Marian Coates and Rita Klesch.

She was retired from Yellow Freight Trucking in Mt. Vernon, NY where she was a Customer Service Representative for many years.

Barbara was a single Mom who raised three beautiful daughters. She was a hard worker her whole life and at times held 2-3 jobs. She was a wonderful person, very generous, and made friends every where she went. Her email was Barbhiroller (Barb High Roller) as she loved to gamble. She went on multiple trips to casinos with the senior club and her daughters. She had a desire to win big and always played the Lotto, Mega Millions, Powerball, Numbers, & Scratch offs. Her lifelong career was in the Trucking Industry. She moved to South Dakota for her job and made life long friends there. While in South Dakota she joined a Dart League and also enjoyed Mahjong and cards with her friends. She enjoyed getting away for fun family trips. Barbara had a great disposition and kept her good sense of humor to her last day. She was a blessing and well loved by her daughters and grandchildren. Barbara had a great love of God. We heard her laughing with God on her way to heaven!

My heart goes out to the family in your time of grief. I have had the privilege of knowing Barbara's daughter Cat, who has been a ray of sunshine and blessing in the walls of AT&T and beyond. May each of you carry on Barbara's legacy of love for Jesus and others!
