Robert T. Palumbo

Robert T. Palumbo, a longtime resident of Chester, NY passed away on August 17, 2021 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. He was 87 years old.
Born in Brooklyn on October 11, 1933, he was the son of Steve and Anna (nee Ferrantino) Palumbo.
Robert was a retired programmer for IBM and worked in many of their locations, including those in NJ, White Plains and Sterling Forest, NY.
Robert served his community as a member of the Sugar Loaf Fire Department. He enjoyed photography; the photos he took captured many family gatherings and special occasions which display on our walls.
Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan (nee LoMauro); daughter, Veronica Mattiello and her fiance’ David Potenzano of Warwick; son, R. Todd Palumbo of Westford, MA; daughter, Kim Palumbo and her wife Diane Ross of Mannassas, VA; two grandchildren, Daniel Mattiello and his wife Jill and Joseph Mattiello; and three great–grandsons: Luke, Tyler and Jake.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21st at St. Columba Church, 27 High Street, Chester, NY 10918 with burial following the Mass in Warwick Cemetery.
