Sharon L. Scannello of Warwick, NY, passed away on October 17, 2023, at Park Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Middletown, NY. She was 83 years old.
Born in Port Chester, NY on January 1, 1940, she was the daughter of James and Sarah Dillon.
Sharon was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a kind and gentle soul who will be loved and missed by all. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and all of her grandchildren.
Left to grieve is her beloved husband of 63 years, Joseph; their five children: Wendy Desimini and her husband Vito; Valerie Rescigno; Joseph Scannello; Robert Scannello; and Richard Scannello and his wife Kathy; grandchildren: Andrew Rescigno and his wife Jessica, Bryanna and her husband Noah Peebles, Matthew Desimini, Lyndsey Rescigno, Rachael Scannello, Justin Scannello; and Megan Scannello; and three great-grandchildren: Max, Milo, and Kai; sister Barbara Covello; and brother Robert Dillon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, followed by interment in Greenwood Union Cemetery, 215 North Street, Rye, NY 10580.
