Patricia Jean (nee Westbrook) Hope

Patricia J. (nee Westbrook) Hope of Chester, NY, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2023, at Garnet Medical Center, Wallkill, NY. She was 61 years old.
Born March 23, 1962, in Suffern, NY, she was the daughter of Raymond A. and Martha (nee Burnett) Westbrook who survive her. She also lived in Lake Lucille in New City, NY for many years.
Patricia worked as an advocate for Crystal Run Village, now called ADAPT in Middletown, NY. In her younger years, she was a Girl Scout. She was always a very compassionate person, often taking others’ troubles on herself. She was lovingly called “Momma Hope” by her friends and her children’s friends.
Patricia is survived by her parents; daughter Elizabeth Frederick of Chester, NY; sons Kevin Hope of Newburgh, NY and Phillip Hope of Chester, NY; siblings: Raymond D. Westbrook of Valley Cottage, NY; Joseph P. Westbrook of Ithaca, NY; Elizabeth Caslander of Warwick, NY; and Mark T. Westbrook of Bastrop, TX; two grandchildren: Abbagail and Arabella Gottlieb; aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at the Warwick United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Montague Reformed Church Cemetery, Montague, NJ, will be at a later date.
