Maureen Delia Geary of Boise, Idaho, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2023.

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 8, 1956, the eldest daughter of Mary and Martin Geary. Maureen was one of eight children.

She was predeceased by her older brother Patrick Geary of Boise, Idaho. She is survived by her six siblings: Martin Geary of Boise, Idaho; Kathleen Rudman of Norfolk, England; William Geary of Henderson, Nevada; Noreen Cummings of Warwick, New York; Judy Cunningham of Huntington, New York; and Bridget Geary of Brooklyn, New York.

Maureen spent her childhood and younger adult years in Brooklyn, New York. She was especially close to her mother, Mary, and the two were often inseparable.

Maureen moved to Boise, Idaho to live near her 2 brothers, Patrick and Marty, in 1995. She enjoyed spending time outdoors enjoying the beautiful mountains and parks in Boise with new friends. She also enjoyed traveling to Europe and experiencing the new sites and fun adventures. She loved watching her favorite television shows: The Honeymooners, The Carol Burnett show, Wheel of Fortune and Law and Order. She enjoyed reading many of John Grisham’s books. Mostly, she enjoyed staying in touch with family, making weekly calls, without fail, to ask how everyone was doing. Maureen was a great daughter, sister, and friend. She loved her family, aunts and uncles, her cousins, niece, and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery, 50 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.
