Patrick J. Fenton of Warwick, NY (formerly of Cooperstown, NY and Stuart, FL), passed away at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY surrounded by his loving family. He was 90 years old.

Born in Manhattan on February 3, 1933, to Catherine (Nee Sullivan) Fenton and Patrick J. Fenton. He attended Corpus Christi School in Manhattan and St. Nicholas of Tolentine in the Bronx.

Patrick enlisted in the USAF and served in the Strategic Air Command during the Korean Conflict as a fighter jet mechanic. Patrick was very proud of the fact that his family is an Air Force family with over 50 years of service to their country.

After working with Pan American Airlines as Jet Engine mechanic, he began his career with NY Tel. Co. He was an Installation Technician and CWA vice president before finding his passion as a Manager in Labor Relations, retiring from AT&T in 1993.

Patrick loved his Irish heritage and was very active in Irish Cultural organizations including the Kerrymen’s P&B Association and the Communications Workers Emerald Society, where he was President.

Patrick was married for 62 years to the late Margaret “Rita” (nee Hayes) Fenton. She was the love of his life, often referring to Rita as the wind beneath his wings. They resided in the Bronx before moving to New City where they raised their seven children.

Patrick is survived by his children: Patrick Fenton, Jr. and his wife Uschi, James Fenton and his wife Diane, Mary Jean Romano and her husband Rick, Kathleen Eder and her husband Karl, Shawn Fenton and his wife Diane, and Thomas Fenton; 15 grandchildren: Kevin(Kristi) Fenton, Kerstin Fenton(Tony Rusinak), Kerry Fenton(Rachel Hillman), Brian Fenton(Kaitlin), Jillian Paquet(Andrew), Brady Fenton, Ricky Romano(Carrie), Andrew Romano(Kim), Daniel Romano(Meghan), Maggie Romano, Emily Monahan(Patrick), Brendan Eder, Shawn Fenton, Patrick Fenton, Mark Fenton; and four great-grandchildren, Sam, Luke, Avett and Kameron and expected great-grandchildren Eoin and baby Rusinak. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by son Mark, daughter Margaret Fenton, and two sisters Catherine McDougall and Ann Dwyer.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 25th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 26th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen RCH Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY. Interment will be private.
