Charles Daly

Charles Daly of Warwick, NY, passed away on March 16 at St. Anthony Hospital. He was 86 years old.
Born in the Bronx, NY, on June 14, 1936, he was the son of Charles E. and Annie (nee Casey) Daly, who were born in the Irish counties of Longford and Mayo, respectively. Charles was immensely proud of his dual Irish and American citizenship.
Charles was most recently a maintenance supervisor for a government office facility prior to his retirement at age 82. He also worked as a machinist for Lederle Laboratories.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Valerie (nee Collins); and their children: Patricia and her life partner Tom Demetroules of Bonifay, FL; Brendan Daly and his wife Monica of Warwick, NY; and Maureen Daly of DeFuniak Springs, FL; sister Rosaleen Orfini of Pearl River, NY; grandchildren: Luke, Fiona, Bethany and her husband Peter, and Joshua; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his granddaughter Kristen Morrow; son-in-law Benjamin Williams (husband of Patricia); and his siblings: Richard Daly; Ann Daly Lydon; Mary Daly Adamski; Kathleen Daly Tonner; and Agnes Daly.
Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick.
