I closely worked with Jim in the past month, and besides work, I spoke with him at brief about life and the wonderful thing it has to offer, he shared his fond memories with me about his ski trips to lake tahoe and he also recommended me to go to Heavenly Ski Resort for my snowboarding lessons, mentioning that he still has a picture from there on his desk. I really liked his energy, and positivity towards life, on how profound life is. I feel fortunate enough to have gotten an opportunity to work with Jim so close, and I still I could not believe, Jim is no more physically present with us, but will always remember him dearly and his beautiful words about doing what's right, and what makes you happy. He also, invited me to come visit him in New York when I'm around, I just cannot believe he is no more physically present. I'll miss his energy. My prayers are with every family member.

I worked with James at Merrill Lynch and UBS and touched based time to time no matter where we were at. James was always happy and so friendly and made any moment a pleasure to be with him.
I want to thank you James as you always made me feel being with and joyous friend rather than a coworker, and want to remember as such, always smiling. Thank you for being my friend.

The ONUG family is saddened by the passing of Jim Younan, one of the first ONUG board members. Jim was warmly friendly, smart, helpful and amazingly insightful. He created a process we call the “Younan Six” that describes how computer networking operations should be automated. It’s still in use today. On behalf of the ONUG Board and community we send our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
