Phyllis S. Hickey

Phyllis S. Hickey of Warwick, NY (formerly of Belleville, NJ) passed away on August 25, 2022. She was 95 years old.

Born June 2, 1927 in Newark, NJ, she was one of five children of Emilio and Concetta (nee Panaggi) Scarpato.

Phyllis was a retired executive secretary for Harris Marketing in Newark. When she moved to Warwick, she attended St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church and became active with the Warwick Seniors Group and the Golden Seniors of Florida, NY. She had an outgoing personality that made her new friends wherever she went. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her son Robert Hickey and his wife Lynn of Warwick; daughter Susan Roberts and her husband David of San Pedro, CA; son Stephen Hickey and his partner Sharon Fiege of Westfield, OH; grandson Matthew Hickey of Sarasota, FL; and granddaughter Lisa Hickey of Warwick; She was predeceased by siblings: Rose Larossi, Joseph Iarossi, Mary Mauriello, and Anthony Scarpato.

At Phyllis’ request, private funeral services will be held and interment will be in Warwick Cemetery.
