Margaret H. Whitbeck

Margaret H. Whitbeck, a lifetime resident of Warwick, NY, passed away on July 28, 2022 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 91 years old.

Born March 10, 1931, she was the daughter of George Harrison and Clara (Demarest) Howell.

Peggy was married to the late Richard Whitbeck who predeceased her in 2016. Both were active members of the Warwick Reformed Church. Peggy served on the Consistory Board, taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Women’s Guild.

Prior to retirement, Peggy was the Town of Warwick tax collector for 18 years.

Peggy is survived by her son Craig and his wife Doreen of Westtown, NY; five grandchildren: Phillip Whitbeck, Brianne Wood, Deena Getty, April Whitbeck, and Stephanie Kadletz; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by son Capt. Dyke Whitbeck, brother Albert D. Howell and sister Elizabeth Wuosmaa.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
