My sincere condolences on the passing of Joseph Lawler. We were teammates on a baseball team in the YMCA league in Queens for a number of years. I remember him coming to the games with his wife and little son. This was probably in the late 1970s or early 1980s. I believe he was from Astoria. I recently learned of his passing from Frank Calia, another teammate. I remember him as a friendly man with a sense of humor. He was also an intense competitor. May he rest in peace. Joe Suraci
