Ricky Aiello

7/26/2021

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Aiello family announces the passing of Ricky Aiello after an 18-month courageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He passed away surrounded by loved ones at St. Anthony on July 26th, 2021.

A true New Yorker in every sense of the word, Ricky was born in the Bronx, NY on September 21st, 1955. An all-city football star, heavyweight boxing champion, as well as an ass-kicker out of the ring, he graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and went on to become a decorated Army veteran. Ricky was also an accomplished actor, starring in films and television shows such as Do the Right Thing, 29th Street, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and Twin Peaks. In his free time, Ricky loved working out, painting, listening to music, and making memories with his family.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Arlene (nee Urichich), son Ricky Jr, daughter Tori, and his best dog friend Lucy. He is predeceased by his father Danny who passed away at the end of 2019, as well as his brother Danny III who passed away in 2010 to pancreatic cancer. He is also survived by his mother Sandy, brother Jaime and wife Debbra, and sister Stacey. In lieu of funeral services, celebrate Ricky’s life by donating to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
