Brian S. Kane of Melbourne, FL (formerly of Warwick, NY and Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) passed away on June 14, 2021 in Tampa, FL. He was 61 years old.

 

He was born on December 17, 1959 in Hackensack, NJ. He is survived by his mother, Louise Maher and stepfather, Frank Maher of Mt. Arlington, NJ.  He was the son of the late Harry Kane.

 

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Maureen (nee Clark); daughter, Caitlin Babcock and her husband, Matthew of Mountainville, NY; sons, Stephen Kane of Melbourne, FL and Matthew Kane of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; brothers, Thomas Kane and his wife Marian of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY and Paul Kane and his wife Theresa of Andover, NJ. He was predeceased by his sister, Doreen Kane.

 

Brian was a dedicated family man; his sense of humor, love and strength will be greatly missed by all.

 

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10 at the funeral home with interment following in Warwick Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation to support Myeloma research. Donations may be sent to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, MBC-FOU, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, FL 33612, with a note that the donation is in memory of Brian Kane for myeloma research. I’m in disbelief when I heard about Brian’s passing from Dave Rutkowski. Brian and I worked together for several years and he was a gem of a person with a great sense of humor. May his kind soul rest in eternal peace wherever he is. Shall miss him.

I was sadden to hear the news about Brian. He was a great guy and fun to be around. My condolences to his family. Please know that he was loved by all who worked with him at HP/Agilent/Keysight. Brian always had a smile on his face and that is how I will forever remember him.
